Here is valuable wisdom! If you rule your speech, you will save yourself from trouble. Your mouth and tongue are two of your greatest enemies. If you will keep them under control and only speak the right words at the right time, your life will be blessed. It is unruled speech that gets men into all sorts of trouble. Here is wisdom for a good life.

You can get into trouble by filthy talking, foolish talking, and jesting. You can damage your reputation, hurt others’ feelings, and waste time with such talking. God despises such speech, though they are very popular with the present generation; and He is coming soon to judge the world for these very sins (Pr 14:9; 26:18-19; Eccl 7:6; Eph 4:29; 5:3-7).

You can get into trouble talking negatively about others. Men will know you are wicked, and you will create enmity and strife. Though easy to commit, the blessed God hates backbiting, slander, talebearing, and whispering. They are much like murder, in that they destroy another’s reputation (Pr 10:18; 11:13; 16:28; 18:8; 20:19; 25:23; 26:20-22).

You can get into trouble by complaining. Who likes a complainer? The LORD hates complaining, and He judges it severely (Num 11:1; Ps 106:24-27). Jesus Christ is coming soon with angels to judge complainers (Jude 1:14-16). It is God’s will for your mouth and tongue to give thanks (Phil 2:14; Col 3:17; I Thes 5:18). This generation is unthankful, so God has judged the world with darkness and sodomy (Rom 1:20-27; II Tim 3:2).

You can get into trouble by over committing. Solomon warned his son about taking on the obligations of others as a surety, such as cosigning loans hastily or extensively (Pr 6:1-5; 22:26-27). It is so easy and thrilling to offer your guarantee for the performance of another, because it gives you an important role in their lives. But wisdom should guard your mouth from creating unnecessary and excessive obligations (Pr 22:3; I Cor 7:32).

You can get into trouble by vows to God. In the difficulties of a painful situation, it is easy to promise things to God to persuade Him to deliver you. But the Lord warns against such oaths (Eccl 5:1-3). It is better not to vow at all, than to vow and not pay (Eccl 5:4-7).

You can get into trouble by name calling. Jesus Christ taught that name calling without a holy cause was a violation of the sixth commandment, the law against murder (Matt 5:21-22). Railing and reviling, which are name calling and abusive language, are condemned by Scripture (Ex 22:28; I Cor 5:11; 6:10; I Pet 3:9). A child that cursed his parents died under Moses’ law (Pr 20:20; Ex 21:17; Lev 20:9; Deut 27:16). Take that Hollywood!

You can get into trouble by lying. Everyone hates a liar. No one can trust a liar. Severe punishments are reserved for liars and perjurers. And all liars shall spend eternity in the lake of fire (Rev 21:8,27; 22:15). Honesty in all situations is not only the best policy; it is the holy requirement of the God of truth (Pr 12:22; Ex 20:16; Lev 19:11; Eph 4:25).

You can get into trouble by disrespecting authority. Do not curse the king even in your thoughts or bedroom (Eccl 10:20). A little bird will carry the wicked words, and you will be in trouble. God despises those who speak evil of rulers (II Pet 2:10-12; Jude 1:8-10). Children must honor parents, wives their husbands, employees their employers, and church members their pastors (Eph 5:33; 6:1-3; I Thes 5:12-13; Titus 2:9-10; I Pet 3:5-6).

You can get into trouble by arguing and debate. Wise men listen rather than talk (Pr 17:27-28; Eccl 7:5). A woman should avoid contention and emphasize kindness (Pr 19:13; 21:19; 27:15; 31:26). God’s ministers reject foolish and unlearned questions, for they are the marks of fools and scorners (I Tim 1:4; 4:7; 6:3-5; II Tim 2:14,16,23; Titus 3:9). Wise men study before talking (Pr 15:28), especially God’s ministers (II Tim 2:15).

You can get in trouble by hurting those around you. Spouses, children, and friends can easily be hurt by cutting words (Pr 12:18; Eph 6:4; Col 3:19). Harsh words stir up anger and cause fights to escalate (Pr 15:1). Relationships are destroyed, bitterness created, and your future dulled by hard words. It is men and women with gracious speech that will be held in high esteem (Pr 11:16; 22:11). It is a command to use gracious words (Col 4:6).

How can you avoid trouble with your mouth and tongue? First, cut your words in half, for many words always contain sin (Pr 10:19). Second, slow down and emphasize listening before speaking (Pr 29:20; Jas 1:19). Third, remember that you will give an account for every idle word and be judged for your words (Matt 12:34-37). Fourth, pray like David, “Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips” (Ps 141:3).

Rather than trouble, the man who guards his mouth and tongue will enjoy the good life, guaranteed by the infallible word of God. “What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile” (Ps 34:12-13). Peter also quoted these wonderful words of promise (I Pet 3:10).

There was never trouble for the Lord Jesus Christ by His mouth and tongue. He spoke like no other man in world history (Ps 45:2; Isaiah 50:4; Luke 4:22; John 7:46). He could comfort a widow at her only son’s funeral, or he could expose Pharisee heresy to the delight of His audience (Luke 7:11-18; Matt 7:28-29). There was nothing to charge Him for at His trial, so the Jews falsely accused Him by perverting His pure words (Matt 26:59-61). His pure words will soon judge them for their sins (Matt 7:21-23).

    The very epistemological construct of “making” something should provide you the answer to your question.
    Obviously “making” or “bringing into being” is a concept that is inextricably tied to the concept of TIME. Therefore, at some point of time T, something which did not exist before – comes into being and is said to be “made” or created.

    This is how life as we know it came to exist for example…
    But FIRST of all the concept of TIME needed to come into existence. This is why the bible says that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was God….”

    Translated….
    When Time itself was created (in the beginning at T=0) God already was, and its Creator was one of these personalities….

    …so perhaps there is an intelligent question to be asked about the nature of God, but it surely is NOT “who made God….”

    Let’s face it, there is just no empirical basis to prove the existence of God. Anyone who has studied philosophy as does theology would have known that there isn’t any empirical evidence to justify the existence of a metaphysical God through an objectified reality. So how did the Jewish philosopher/ theologian Moses Miamonides as well as the Germany philosopher Emanuel Kant, who bridged the gap between the empiricist/ rationalist philosophical prospectives did: well the both of them appealed to Reason to proved the existence of God. Miamonides wrote a book called the Guide For The Preplexed and Kant wrote one called, The Critique Of Pure Reason. The both of these books should shade a greater light on your searched for God’s existence. A few more questions before Fenty go: where is the Human mind located and how does it store information and does it exist after death? Something to chew on people… Lexicon aka Mark Fenty….

    Fenty here again with a few more questions: We have already establisted that there isn’t any practical evidence that to conclusively justify that this higher being we called God do exist. On the other hand, some of the intellectual minds have also argued quite convencingly to the contrary. So where do we stand with this question which still continues to preplexed the learned world? Exactly, where we had stood when the question first troubled the thinkers of old. Let’s face it people, if the question regarding God’s existence was as simple as we first thought, we wouldn’t be having this conversation now. Now, I stand to be corrected with my analysis of the existence of God. But, in my simple mind, I’ve always argued that God operated on the same principle as that of the Human – Mind. Now we’re cognizant of the fact that the Human- Mind collects and stores information for future use much like a computer right? But where does it store this information though? We know that we cannot see this information with our physical eyes and we can’t touch it with our physical hands, but yet it is there for us the obtain whenever we need it. Some have called this process a state of consciousness,but I call it the principle by which our God operates.     We ought and must have a discussion regarding God’s existence and our use of the scientific method to derived his existence. The scientific theorist wants to convince the secular world that our existence founded its birth through this process called the Big Bang Explosion. And it seems as though we would more readily accept this narrative but we are quick to question the religious worldview because we some of us believes that it is extraneous to our human understanding. Well, there are just something questions that a scientific method cannot answer such as: is there life after death, where do our consciousness goes after death, what is the nature of reality, and is there such a thing as Objective – Morality etc ?     First of all, let me make it clear that i am not a disciple of Richard Dawkins or Darwin because. I have never been able to complete reading any of their rambling mythical publications. Mythical to some or not, as a book of substance the Bible it still remains according to empirical data the most widely read book in the world and has been around too long to be easily dismissed by those of us who by our pronouncements set ourselves up as fountains of all wisdom. Like any other publication, certain aspects of the Bible to the informed mind create doubt as evidenced by the portion highlighting the challenge from one in the inner circle of Jesus the disciple Thomas himself but other aspects are steeped in philosophical reasoning. The and logic and manifestations are as relevant to us now as was over 2000 years ago. As children, it is logical for the normal to do childish things; as we grow older it is expected for the normal to think in a more mature manner for there is a time and season for everything. Obviously this self-evident truth/logic would not apply to all but it does not negate the fact that unlike other philosophical publications designed to capture our imagination and impart knowledge, certain aspects of the Bible does offer solid guidelines which if followed could help us to be more tolerant towards our fellowman, to strive vigorously to be our brother’s keeper, to be unselfish, in short to love one another. So I do not waste precious time exercising myself in unexplainable matters like the existence of God, about the origin of our existence, about Adam and Eve , Cain and Abel, the Sabbath Day, the Virgin Birth and so on and so forth for ‘ In much wisdom saith the Preacher Ecclesiastes, “there is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which has is done is that which shall be done: that which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been”. The origin of God and the Devil is mysterious. Choose ye this day whom ye shall serve. The relativity of the concept ascribing Goodness to God or Evil to the Devil. Go and sin no more. Amen.

    Balance, I am having a little difficulty believing what you’re claiming about Richard Dawkins…. If as you have stated so conspicuously above that you weren’t using Mr. Dawkins as an authority to make your case. Then why would you an intelligent man I would assume, mentioned his name at all, given the international acclaimed this he has gotten from undermining the reality of God? By even slightly referring to this man’s name in a positive light, obviously tells the readership that you somehow values this man destructive ideas to some extent.

Delving into the realm only men above the 33 1/3 knowledge parallel of esoterica dare to soar while trying to avoid the pitfalls of the “black” arts along the way.     Here a dark secret for you to keep: Our God of the Universe is TIME. Your god of the Earth is the Star closest to you.

    TIME (Our God) has no Opposite force to control IT. Even your Yahweh has an Opposite the Devil (of Evil) and is woefully defective in his petty creation your side of the Galaxy with his fickle management style (choosing one set of his creatures over the others and then “ballistically” tries to eliminate them from the face of the earth.
    A medium-sized middle aged star god who finds it almost impossible to control his other ‘devilish’ dark side (mark you, his own created figment of his imagination after getting rid of the caduceus from the garden of good).

    At least we are getting some where in coming to a common “spiritual” understanding. TIME has done just that.

    Miley Cyrus reveals her views on Jesus and causes waves!

    Miley Cyrus took an Instagram photo on Friday that expressed her views on Jesus; now this picture is causing a holy war with her fans on social media. The young pop star has been the center of tabloid obsessiveness for some time now. Her recent post about Jesus is certainly not slowing down her grasp for media attention in 2014.

    Her Jesus message invoked a lot of responses with some praising the singer for her views, and others standing against her message. ”Man You used to be My idol but you changed, And i hope you know what your saying,” one follower wrote. “miley, i love you so much for sharing this,” said another. Taking to Facebook someone commented, “do not talk about things you do not understand!” Another added, “all of the bible is God’s word.” Cyrus’ infamous VMA performance was one of the most talked about occurrences of 2013, and Barbara Walters’ named the 21-year-old one of the most fascinating people in the world. Her video for “Wrecking Ball,” which showed the singer with no clothes on, broke Vevo’s 24-hour record at 19.3 million views on YouTube, and continued to soar past 100 million views just a week after its release.

    These comments on Jesus come in contrast to a former “Anti-Christ” comment she made in 2012. She tweeted: “You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements (carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, all the things that matter for evolution) weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in stars. So forget Jesus. Stars died so you can live.” She later deleted the tweet that stirred up much strife among her fans.

    Cyrus regularly attended church as a young girl and even took to wearing a purity ring as a sign of her Christian faith. In 2008, Cyrus, an already very wealthy 15-year-old told Fox News in an interview that it is her faith that keeps her “grounded” and admitted her desire to follow Jesus. “Live like Christ and He’ll live in you, and that’s what I want to do,” she said. Just a few years after her father Billy Ray Cyrus, popular country music singer, said in an interview with GQ Magazine that he regretted having her in the “Hannah Montana Show” and also admitted to having made serious errors as parent. Billy Ray confessed that the entire family got baptized and were cautious of the temptations within the entertainment industry before to going to Los Angeles. ”Somewhere along this journey, both mine and Miley’s faith has been shaken,” he said. “That saddens me the most.” He acknowledged there is “no doubt” that his family is being ruined by Satan.

    Alvin…….ALL, including senators should be locked up, including the politicians who are now colluding/partnering with owners of insurance companies on the island to rob and destroy patients/victims of personal injury cases, monopolize the healthcare system on such a small island so they are the only beneficiaries, it’s so bad that some doctors are finding their hands tied because of the ongoing criminality being practiced etc. etc……we all know what they are doing, slithering into the pockets of the owners of these wealthy entities and burrowing in really deep to the detriment of the population on the island..none of them have clean hands they are ALL dirty..

    I am have full confidence in my Prime Minister who is doing the best job that he can to help steer the ship of state in the right direction. My Prime Minister speaks when he has something to say and not because he has to say something. My Prime Minister does not micro-manage so that he allows his Ministers to function and perform the roles that they are supposed to perform and for which they are being paid .

    I am satisfied that my Prime Minister, his Ministers and Parliamentary group are fully committed to making Barbados a better place to live notwithstanding the world economic situation. I share in the vision and mission of the Prime Minister , his Ministers and Parliamentary group. I am satisfied that Barbados can benefit from wise and prudent management and that the Prime Minister will become a great Prime Minister, one who kept the ship of state afloat during turbulent storms and unpredictable economic weather. Respect due to my Prime Minister.

    I am satisfied that my Minister of Finance is doing the best job that he can at this time and that he is doing everything possible to restructure the economy and to keep Barbados on a sound footing where the only place for Barbados to go is Up and On. He says that he is doing the things that need to be done to right size the economy , I believe him and give him my full support in this regard. Respect to my Minister of Finance

    All of the Ministers are doing the best they can as Barbadians for the good of Barbados and I give them my full support and I place full confidence in their abilities to succeed.

    I pledge my undivided support to the Government of Barbados.

    I give my full support to the elected and selected officials of Barbados who are the ones chosen to run the affairs of the country. They are Barbadians who are educated and competent, have the best wishes for Barbados, would like to see Barbados succeed and all of us as one big happy family enjoying the best that we can from our efforts.

    But there is one god that will always be with man; his money god in whichever form: metal, wood, paper or plastic or even electronic credit bits and bytes.

What you’re questioning is the thinking itself, and you’re trying to characterize it as non-thinking. So “Man, your level of so-called THINKING sucks!” is a more accurate written expression of the insulting thought that originally formed in your brain.

    The thought just lost its way a bit as it went meandering along the various misfiring synapses between your temporal lobe and your fingers on the keyboard.

    You could have saved yourself some trouble simply by saying: “Man, your so-called THINKING sucks!” The needless business about the “level” just confused you a tad. It did that because, characteristically, you were trying to cram too many unnecessary words into the sentence.

    So Miller, when you look upon a well designed and built structure such as The Louvre, it is clear that the whole impressive structure sits on a well conceived and very specific foundation which was specifically designed to accommodate that structure and to cater to its specifications……right?
    ….or do you conclude that the foundation is the creator of the structure?

    While it would be difficult for a simple minded person such as ac to conceive, after a visit to that impressive monument, that there was a time when that area was nothing but forest…..surely an Annunaki HAS TO KNOW that some engineer must have conceived, designed and built that foundation – with a full vision and knowledge of the structure to be later constructed on it….

    “Time” is all-pervasive because it is the FOUNDATION upon which our experience of reality rests. Everything that belongs to our reality – our lives, our assets, our folly, our consciousness, our knowledge our pain – is time-bound.

    Indeed, the ONLY aspect of our existence that transcends time is …..(you guessed it) our Character….

    Time is BIG, and it is all encompassing…..but is is just another of the critical building blocks needed to create the melting pot that was specifically designed and built to produce that most elusive and valuable of possible products…..RIGHTEOUS CHARACTER.

    Er … no, or at least highly arguable. My love for my parents, an important “aspect of [my] existence”, clearly transcends time irrespective of my randomly-capitalized Character. They died a long time ago, but my love for them is in no way time-bound. You might have to re-think that one.

    Mixed metaphors are never an aid to understanding among your readers. Or indeed among one’s patients. It forces them, subliminally, to make a rapid mental scan that is inimical to mood and comprehension.

    We read it four times and we still don’t grasp the intended meaning. The upper case didn’t help, and the exclamations just made it worse.
