But the United States was not built on democracy and human rights. The United States, like Barbados, like every other country in the Western Hemisphere was built on forced labour…why do you think that people do not take the Americans seriously when they talk about democracy and human rights? because we truly know who they are.

@charles skeete November 9, 2016 at 7:16 PM re “Who determines whether his apology is genuine or politically expedient given the acidity of his racist remarks and why is it that racial faux pas of Democrats are quickly forgiven whereas Republicans are held accountable in perpetuity”—–

I wanted a teen to read Machiavelli but then realized to simply guide him to study and utilize the strategies executed by Donald Trump- except the blatant lies – because they were absolutely the best way to teach the marketing/political stratagems espoused by the Italian.

With that in mind I am always amused when those methods of obfuscation, misdirection and dissembling are used … let’s give ode to the President elect and call them ‘Trumpism’ because he made the old (Prince Nico), new again.

You senor did a Trumpism above. Clearly you also are well versed in the arts of Trump’s Prince Machavelli’s type obfuscation and misdirection. LOL.

No one is quickly forgiving Democrat Byrd and continually holding Republican Trump accountable.

Byrd was a pariah to any right thinking non-racist for many years of his life. He changed and that was seen by his actions, not just in his words. That happens in life and we are duty bound to embrace the newly anointed and treat their past as an enlightening history.

There is nothing in Donald Trump actions that suggest that he has repented of his divisive, racist past. Hiring , befriending or selecting Black folks as cabinet members is not atoning of an egregious past particularly when just days before your election as President you call a Black man a thug simply because you deemed him as ‘rowdy’ at your rally.

And it surely isn’t repentance of your past when you create a political ad basically to close out your campaign process that features powerful members of the US society with whom you disagree and blatantly highlight their Jewish faith for the sake of highlighting that faith suggestively as part of nefarious cabal.

They are both excellent reminders to your devout fans however…of your devious past!

You are putting your foot in your mouth my friend. Your own comment supports my theory of the double standards employed when assessing the impact of purported racist comments by Democrats and Republicans.

  7. .” The United States, like Barbados, like every other country in the Western Hemisphere was built on forced labour…”

The United states was built on wheeling and dealing which has served it well and those immigrants from the Caribbean and elsewhere who feed from the crumbs which trickle down fall from the table of those who have more than they want

  8. True the United States was built on cheap labour and immigrants . However the immigrants took flight from their countries on their own choosing. The USA did not forced them to do so. The immigrant made a choice out of a need to survive rather than an alternative of empty pockets and having no crumbs falling from a table
What DT proposes to do is send the immigrant back to a country returning to empty tables where no crumbs will be falling

The US was built on slavery of black people and Native Americans…cheap labor came later, the US was built on stealing, slavery, rape, murder, brutality and lies…

……stop trying to butter it up, call it what it is…..they were animals those brits thrown out of the UK…they took their savagery to the US, Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand ect.

How do you expect your children and grandchildren…future generations to handle the likes of a Trump, the KKK and millions of racists filled with hate, if they do not know the truth, if you are trying to cover up for those beasts, you are facing the descendants of beasts, thry did not change, it’s in their DNAs.

  10. I agree with most of you most of the time, that you are all brassholes in this shop. America chose to take a chance with a non politician rather than a lying scum bag. Wish Bdos had that courage. But that is why I left 35 years ago. Loving the next 4 years while you all squeal like pigs…..

  12. President-Elect Trump’s Trade Policy Proposals: A Quick Look

    by caribbeantradelaw

Alicia Nicholls Few other aspects of President-elect Donald Trump’s proposed policy platform have attracted as much attention and scrutiny as have his trade policy proposals. In often colourful language, Mr. Trump has charged that current United States (US) trade policy is disadvantageous to American workers and interests and that other countries are taking advantage of America. […]

  13. Although Trump got slightly fewer votes than Romney, what makes his victory impressive was that he ran a bare bones campaign, with very little TV or radio advertising or door to door canvassing, and almost no “ground game” (driving people to the polls or calling them on the phone on Election Day to remind them to vote).

Before showing ignorance or fear people…educate thyself.

There is no reason Obama should be wasting valuable time spoonfeeding this clueless jackass Trump since he has been spouting for 8 years how superior he is to Obama and how he knows everything about everything.

Everyone should have known from he jumped out sqawking about if a black man could be president, he could too and do a better job than Obama and all the rubbish that accompanied his verbal diarrhea…and blah blah rah rah, monkey see monkey wanna do, when he started begging Oprah to join him…everyone should have known there is something mentally not ofay about that clown.

Educate thyself before believing lies and supporting politicians.

Trump is now swimming with the sharks….the American public……and he is fair game, he has no libel protection, he is a target for the citizens, with all he claims to know, he and that ugly albino Conway…did not know this, until today.

The press will have a field day, the bloggers will destroy him….and he can do nothing.

  15. The Electoral College has voted, and Donald Trump has been confirmed the winner; despite threats of numerous Republican defectors, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton actually ended up losing more electors than Trump.

Here’s one for you Sarge to froth at the bit on- Seasons Greetings to you and family.

  16. @Charles Skeete

Miriam Webster’s word of the year is surreal-which chronicled the bizarre events of the past year, here is the word for the coming year-KAKISTOCRACY- you should become familiar with it if you pay attention to the whims of the part-time President, what time is Celebrity Apprentice on again?

The old swamp has been drained and has been replaced with a new one complete with the same cast of characters together with an infestation of alligators.

Merry Xmas to you and yours.

  17. “The old swamp has been drained and has been replaced with a new one complete with the same cast of characters together with an infestation of alligators.”

should have recognized that long ago rather than offer unbridled support to a candidate whose credentials were even more flawed than Mr Trump’s. Merry Xmas to you as well and a healthy New Year.

  18. @Charles Skeete

The candidate I supported had feet of clay, the candidate you supported has a brain of clay, hope you enjoy the Billionaires Boys Club.

    And a prosperous New Year

  19. The next four years in US politics will be unpresidented.
