What suggestions do you have or what can you do to add value to the site?
For the last umpteen years I’ve observed the following method in many a home construction.
The foundation walls come up from the ground.
The space within is filled with marl and compacted.
A plastic sheet is laid across the compacted area.
BRC mesh is placed on top of the plastic sheet covering the same compacted area.
Concrete is poured or placed above the compacted area to form the flooring.
Blocks to form the internal and external walls are then put in place on top of the flooring.
My question is ; Does the plastic sheeting, used for damp proofing not form a membrane which virtually separates the concrete flooring from the compacted marl foundation, like the meat in a hamburger?
